Presentations
Our presentations are designed for conferences or as components of organized programs about e-learning. They last from 45-mintues to 1.5 hours and are delivered face-to-face at any location or via web conferencing. Our goal is to increase participants' awareness of the ramifications of cultural influences in the e-learning environment.
The Cultural Profile of European Education - Can We Export This Model?
• For administrators of online universities.
Despite recognized weaknesses, the European educational system stands among those in the world as a model of what to do right. However, all educational artifacts, including e-learning, are affected by our cultural values and norms. Thus, an honest question to ask is, Can we successfully export our European model of e-learning to other cultures?

Beyond Diversity - The Cross-Cultural Dimensions of e-Learning
For producers and designers of e-learning solutions.
There's a worker who has not attended some form of 'diversity training.' However, the affects of culture on education, especially as we expand into other countries through e-learning, are much more deeply embedded than we can observe. In this presentation, we will propose business strategies to producers of e-learning who are intending to export their domestically-produced wares to other cultures.

Perspectives of an Online Student
• For faculty of online universities.
In contemporary European education, the promotion of student-centered, constructivist methodologies is at the forefront of educational initiatives. However, how do students of other countries and cultures react to these methodologies, especially within the realm of e-learning, where instructor contact is limited? In fact, does such an approach help or hinder the achievement of equitable learning outcomes for learners from cultures outside of the Europe? In this presentation, we presents, based on her experiences as both an online student and an instructor, the student issues that need to be addressed by in order to ensure that all students are equally comfortable and productive in the online environment.

The Future of e-Inclusion in Developing Countries
• For international development workers.
Without a doubt, e-learning is expanding into developing countries. According to the UNDP Report, several developing countries have already launched serious e-learning programs. Considering the reciprocal relationship between socio-economic development and technological advancement, it is no surprise that technology and technology education are the foci of many international development initiatives. In this presentation, we describe some of the existing initiatives, barriers to e-learning development, and the potential for future development through evolving technology projects.

e-Project Management - The Future of International Development
• For international development workers.
One of the newer concepts in international development is the propagation of project management through information and communication technologies (ICTs). We portray successful development projects that were managed from a distance, either by volunteers or professional consultants. A discussion of potential uses of e-project management concludes the presentation.
